About the firm — A Father & Son Team

A practice built around one question: what does this client actually need?

Stauder Law was built to represent people at a hard moment — hurt, out of work, difficult financial decisions piling up, and dealing with a system that wasn't designed to be easy to navigate. We keep the caseload small enough that clients get real attention, not a form letter or focus on mass advertisements. Between Michael Stauder, Jr. and Michael Stauder, Sr., the firm brings more than 78 years of combined litigation and trial attorney experience to every case.

Why It Really Matters When You Choose Our Firm

Often, a single accident or injury can trigger completely different legal claims, with vastly different rules and timelines. This interplay between the different areas of the law involving the same or related accidents can get extremely complicated very quickly. Liens, overpayments, set-offs, reimbursement rates, maximum compensation rates, and federally required Medicare Set-Aside Trusts can easily all come into play from a single accident. Not understanding how these different areas of the law affect the claim can be fatal. Fortunately for all of our clients, it's our wheelhouse.

Likewise, a simple business dispute can balloon into unnecessary litigation even without your involvement or participation. We're prepared for that and will take all the needed steps to find a resolution favorable to you, our client.

How we work

Stauder Law explains what's happening in plain language, returns calls, and tells clients honestly when a claim is strong, weak, or needs more evidence before filing. With Michael Jr. first representing clients more than 25 years ago, every single workers' compensation, Social Security disability, and personal injury case has been handled on a contingency fee basis — and that has never changed, not once. That consistency reflects an unflappable, ongoing commitment to our clients and the results we've delivered for them: if you don't recover, you don't pay a fee — ever.

Certification

Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, The Florida Bar

What does this mean?
Board certification is The Florida Bar's highest official recognition of an attorney's skill and experience in a specific area of law. To be certified in Civil Trial Law, an attorney must have at least five years of practice with substantial trial experience, have personally handled a minimum of 15 contested civil trials, pass a rigorous written exam, and clear a peer-review process evaluating both competence and ethics. Fewer than 1 in 20 Florida attorneys hold board certification in any specialty, and Civil Trial Law is widely regarded as one of the most demanding certifications to earn and maintain.
